Conclusion
Sheepshead will hang around underwater structures and bridge pilings making them easy to locate, however, you have to watch out for pesky pinfish that will nibble and steal your shrimp.
If you use the proper weight on your hook, you can swim your lure with the current and sweep it right into a sheepshead’s mouth.
Remember not to set the hook and let the fish run with it or you will lose your shrimp!

What is the name of the knot you mentioned and showed how to tie?
The “fish on” brothers doing a great video. I have used a bottom chum box offshore for mutton’s and it works incredibly well. I think I will try it this year on the inside for sheepies and mango’s. Love to eat those jail breakers!

This is what I call the “real deal” raw footage on fishing lessons…I learn a lot more on real life scenarios. This made me a much more fisherman…I found out over the years that no matter what…it all depends on preparation and presentation. And it’s also about the weather as well.
Great video! We have a lot of success with this type of fishing but never tried chum or adding another bullet weight. As always, something new to learn. Love the banter between brothers.

Yes, they are popular for bottom fishing in the northeast for porgies, tatog, and other bottom feeding species. Just wondering how they’d work down here for sheepshead.
