Talk about a redfish honey hole!
Here’s the quick backstory:
Luke and I recently ventured out into a brand new spot that neither of us had ever fished (the day after a nasty cold front) with the following goals in mind:
- Film an inshore slam (redfish, snook, trout, flounder) being caught the day after a cold front
- Only use artificial lures to catch the slam
- See if it could be done in 2 hours or less
Well, not only did we catch an inshore slam…
But we caught SEVEN different species all in this one spot… all on artificial lures… in the span of two hours… in a spot neither of us had fished before…
Check out some of the highlights from just one of the docks (video below).

But fishing is a bust if government does nothing to help billions lost due to red tide beaches just stink. you guys have tips with no red tide ,man are you lucky. 23 commercial fisherman in Englewood sold out and are gone Guide caps lost the summer and fall here. Came in November 15, 7 serve red tide days since . if you are here all year our club is in trouble . down to the beach each morning and very quiet now and very unusual Going back to Golfing and no fishing until someone takes charge of this economic disaster. to bad a new boat I bought last year is just in storage still. I have a 12 handicap and will golf and fly my Hubsan 502E X4 Drone until January when prices for green fees normally triple here. Traffic is way down for now and my in my village many seniors will not be here until the end for January. fish tackle stores are real slow now . Globe change is on strong. the Tax Grates and tax cuts are killing my hobby here. If no fishing and no beach walking why not sell here and Say in Toronto , go to the Sport’s Man Show in February your tips here are the same a on my Summer and Fall Lovesick Lake I fine walleye now all summer and fall Giants are a blast.
