It’s family vacation time!
Salt Strong fishing coach Wyatt Parcel is on a family vacation in a new state and had just a short amount of time to get his family on redfish.
No pressure, right?
To make matters worse, he didn’t have a boat or kayak.
Wade fishing was his only option!
So in this podcast, he shares exactly what he did to pre-trip plan, what types of spots worked best, which lures he used, and some other cool tricks to save time finding the fish.

Love the shadow puppet rule!!! So simple but so accurate!
So is the loop knot pretty much the go to for most tie ons?
I’m going to Keys in March. Staying in Marathon in a canal home. Was wondering if there are large amounts of yellowtail over snook or trout will they hit on the slam shadys.
Great video – perfect timing – heading to Duck Key in September – can’t wait to try some of the techniques. Have any of you fished in this area? Loved the Montgomery Flea Market video
Great stuff!!!
I’ve not personally fished there but I believe I’ve seen some reports in the Community close by there! Definitley be sure to check out the regional map and zoom in on that area to view nearby reports! I’ll link it below:

Absolutely Matt!! Glad this was helpful for you sir!
Thanks for the shout out Joe and Wyatt! It is truly such an honor to know that my fishing experiences helped you with shortcuts for your fishing trips. I’m currently having trouble finding the trout in the big bend right now, conditions are tough. So, Wyatt, I’m watching your reports on catching flounder and I’m going to try some tactics. The wheel keeps turning and this club helps us all be successful beyond our expectations. Keep an eye out in the community for me in the community guys!
Absolutely Dave! Your reports are a treasure trove of intel!! Stay tuned for more flounder tips, the run is about to start here in TX and that’s all I’m going to be focused on for about 2 months haha!
