Is that thumbnail from Cape Canaveral near Jetty Park? If so do you have any good tips for fishing that area, (canal/peir) for larger fish? We can put together bags or cutlass, snapper, and pins but thats about it.

Need to check your state fishing regulations first, Some states require the use of circle hooks when using bait. Circle hooks don’t require you setting the hook. When the fish bites, wait a couple seconds and just start reeling. Check the regs for the type of fish you can keep. Most have regs on the length and the number of a species you can keep. An alternative to live and frozen bait you can use FishBites which is an artificial bait, which is also available in the Fishstrong store.

Yea pat I'm not a beginner that's for sure but I'm sure the tactic you mentioned would work the only problem being is alot of those fish WILL steal the shrimp especially if it's frozen because after it thaws it begins to get soft making fish like pinkish or other small fish steal the shrimp right off the hook but at least you would be getting bites and eventually if one is persistent enough will catch some fish on it eventually thanks for the info and all you do
