Hey guys y’all put out great information for fishing the transition and I will be using this information on my next fishing trip. I especially liked learning where to look for holding fish and what Wyatt said about fishing various depths in the water column, something I fail to do when I am out. Great Job tonight to all.

Question for Austin since you’re in my region,
Do you ever chum for bait and if so what do you target?

Thanks for the comment Rick!! I actually have not chummed for bait inshore in Jacksonville. Typically I just locate the schools of bait (whatever is running) and throw the net!! Offshore I have found success chumming big time! I plan on experimenting with this inshore in the future to see how it does though!!

Hey guys, looking for info re: the Panhandle region, specifically Panama City Beach and surrounding bays like West Bay. I have tremendous success in these areas in late spring and Summer early b4 the heat is on, but like you said, winter to spring transition is tricky. I am taking the wife out Sat morning and heading to that area and hope to find something on the flats.

Hey! Who is the coach for South Carolina area? Also, what is the advantage of switching out the treble hook for the other hook on the super spook?

Wyatt has the most experience fishing the Carolina waterways, but we all can be of help to you plus we have a lot of great members in SC who are helpful too. Make sure to post your questions in the Community platform so you can get a lot of great feedback: https://community.saltstrong.com/

4 less hooks to dig out of your fingers, survivability of the released fish and I’ve seen no real difference in hook ups.

Hey I live in ft Myers and fish the 10,000 island. Just started down here and just bought a fishing pontoon everything looks good for fishing what am I looking for ? Birds and bait ? What if I can’t locate them inshore ? Going out today like to contribute

Yes, look for birds and bait. When in doubt, fish the island points that have some good current flow and there will likely be predators there.

OMG guys you said it so well. Just prior to listening to this PodCast I posted my catch today which is 100% attributed to exactly what you have said and just repeated. “Fishing the points” What you have coached does truly encompass a lot of things but when you put it all together you get results. From the lines that perform the best for casting and durability, then the best or recommended leader and then the correct knots to tie, then telling me where to fish, and why and what to throw and even from what direction. Heck, all I do is follow your instructions and I am having the time of my life! Todays fish hit 18lbs! On my last trip I got one that (and was also posted) was 15. This stuff is life-changing if you love to fish. Truly PRICELESS and I for one THANK YOU so dang much. Keep up the good work. JonesZ
