Do you know what kind of hook Deeks was using, circle or j hook and what size it was? Thanks for the fun footage. It felt reassuring to see Peter lose as many snappers as he caught( I thought it was me!).
Love it. I enjoy watching guys catch fish almost as much as fishing, especially when I don’t have the time to go myself.
I’m really enjoying these style of videos! These saltwater live bait fanatics will understand the comparisons using the right technique on lures! I’ve had friends that swear by fresh bait, laughed at me wasting my time, and out fished them as well on soft plastics. Mic dropped on them catching quality fish! Not everyone has the patience to fish our style. I made anglers believers that take notice watching me with awe. I’d keep this style videos as a great advertisement especially on Youtube! I’d do the next one to deeper waters as well.

Wow, if you were fishing Feb 27, I was on the river that day, very close to the area. And today, Feb 28, I was under the 17 St Bridge and saw Peter Deeks fly by heading North.

This video is an example of the best that SS can bring to the learning journey. Fishing beside an expert and excellent guide such as Capt. Deeks brought two super helpful points that heretofore I had not been introduced too in spite of a mountain of SS content. First dealt with fishing the deep side of a creek/canal for several reasons he identified and secondly, fishing the wind blown side if targeting bigger fish and citing his reasoning. During seasonal colder temps, the latter is an opposing view as conventional wisdom is to fish the leeward side with warmer water. I’ve encountered the latter but previously thought it was a chance encounter. Having conversations with a seasoned angler while filming brings non-scripted golden nuggets to surface. Job well done by that guy voted to be the cameraman, lol!

Yea I saw your canal fishing coarse its a great one alright the only problem being the majority of the residential canals I have seen are all private with no trespassing signs posted in them and I remember I posted this after viewing the coarse and was going to fish one and a member said that in reality no one can post a canal because the water in it is public well that maybe but I really don’t feel like arguing or fighting with one of the residents of one of these canals because maybe the water is public property but the docks ARE private so unless one really enjoys angering people i would highly advise not fishing there it’s getting harder and harder to find good fishing areas that don’t have large crowds that already fish it things that are sacred are starting to become extinct kinda like common sence now days where it’s far from common anymore sad but true but thanks for the info and all you guys do🤔👍😀
